Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Technical Service Representative to provide field service and technical support for papermaking finishing equipment. This customer-facing role handles installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and operator training across North America.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical/technical background with 3–5 years experience in papermaking or related manufacturing environments, and be able to travel extensively to support customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in mechanical engineering, papermaking technology, or related field.
3–5 years of technical experience in papermaking or related industrial environment.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving skills with hands-on capability.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and advisory services to customers and contractors.
Assist with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and field service work.
Prepare service reports and maintain documentation.
Train customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
Conduct site audits and identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
Support customers across the United States and North America.
