Job summary

A geological exploration company is seeking a Core Logger Geologist for field-based projects across Canada. This role involves assisting in the processing of diamond drill cores and supporting data, as well as monitoring drilling operations. Candidates should have a B.Sc. in geology, 1-3 years of related experience, and be legally entitled to work in Canada. This is a physically demanding position that requires working in remote locations with rotation-based shifts of 21 days on, 7 days off.

Qualifications

• Completion, or near completion of a B.Sc. degree in geology/earth science from an accredited university.
• Eligible for professional registration as a GIT.
• 1-3 years previous experience in core logging and drill management in an exploration role.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor the processing of diamond drill cores and supporting data.
• Communicate daily with the drilling crew and Project Manager.
• Log core lithology, alteration and mineralization.
