Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Environmental Scientist to support mining operations. This fully remote role focuses on EIAs, monitoring programs, and strategies to minimize ecological footprint while ensuring regulatory adherence.

You will collaborate with project teams from anywhere, contribute to sustainable mining practices, and advance environmental stewardship through data analysis, reporting, and EMS initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or management in mining.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency in environmental data analysis and reporting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct EIAs for new and existing mining projects.
  • Develop and implement environmental monitoring plans for air, water, soil, and biodiversity.
  • Analyze environmental data and prepare compliance reports for regulatory agencies.
