Job summary

SLR Consulting seeks an Environmental Execution Planner to provide environmental project management and compliance oversight for large-scale projects in Ontario. You will liaison between project teams, construction, inspection staff, contractors and subject matter experts to implement environmental requirements and maintain documentation throughout execution.

The role emphasizes reviewing plans and permits, developing tracking systems, and coordinating with regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental planning, compliance, and execution.
• Experience with linear infrastructure projects; EPC delivery asset is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario environmental regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient with MS Office, SharePoint, Teams and tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental project management and compliance oversight during planning and execution.
• Lead Environmental Inspection Team direction and align activities with permits and risks.
• Develop compliance strategies, inspection programs, and management tools.
• Review contractor environmental plans, permits, and studies for accuracy.
• Coordinate permitting activities and regulator communications; track commitments.
• Support procurement with scopes of work and RFPs as needed.
• Provide technical environmental support during pre-construction and execution phases.
• Maintain environmental records, logs, and document control systems.
