Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) is seeking an experienced Environmental Execution Planner to lead environmental planning, compliance oversight, and documentation during project planning and execution. You will liaise with project teams, construction, inspectors, contractors, and SMEs to ensure environmental requirements are implemented and tracked throughout execution.

The role emphasizes delivering oversight, developing strategies, maintaining records, and ensuring permits and regulatory commitments

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience supporting environmental planning and compliance for infrastructure projects.
Experience under EPC delivery models is an asset.
Strong understanding of Ontario environmental regulatory requirements.
Experience overseeing environmental inspection programs and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to review technical documents, permit applications, and compliance reports.
Experience developing project tracking systems and document management.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, Survey123.

Responsibilities

Provide environmental project management and compliance oversight during planning and execution.
Coordinate between project team, construction, inspections, contractors and SMEs.
Develop and implement environmental compliance strategies and inspection programs.
Create and manage tracking systems, reports, logs and document control processes.
Review contractor environmental management plans and permit applications.
Coordinate environmental permitting, regulator commitments, and communications.
Support procurement through scopes of work and RFIs as needed.
Provide technical environmental support during pre-construction and execution phases.
Participate in project meetings and provide status updates on environmental risks.
Maintain environmental records and continuous improvement initiatives.
Escalate significant risks, incidents, non-conformances, and regulatory issues.
