Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in electrical hardware design and development.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Strong analog/digital design, MCUs, and embedded systems.
• Experience with power electronics and wireless communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded electrical systems, PCBs, and schematics for smart home devices.
• Component selection, power budget analysis, and signal integrity analysis.
• Power management for battery-operated and mains-powered devices.
• Collaborate with firmware/software engineers to integrate hardware and software components.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for electrical designs.
• Troubleshoot and debug electrical hardware issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure designs meet CE, FCC, and SABS regulatory requirements.
• Document design work, test procedures, and specifications.
• Stay abreast of new technologies for IoT devices and smart home.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to product roadmap discussions.
