Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to spearhead the development of advanced remote power solutions. This fully remote role lets you work from anywhere and lead a team in designing, testing, and deploying cutting-edge electrical systems for off-grid environments.

Requirements include a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years in power systems, and expertise in AC/DC power electronics, BMS, inverters, and generators.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering focusing on power systems, renewable energy, or off-grid applications.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and managing complex technical projects.
• Expertise in AC/DC power electronics, battery management systems (BMS), inverters, and generators.
• Proficiency with simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink) and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of system integration, testing, and validation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and engineering of robust remote power systems, including hybrid solutions (solar, generator, battery).
• Oversee selection, integration, and testing of electrical components and sub-systems.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications for new product development and custom solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of electrical engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Conduct system-level analysis, including power quality, energy efficiency, and thermal management.
• Collaborate with software and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Establish and maintain electrical design standards, best practices, and documentation protocols.
