Job summary
Travelers Capital Corporation is seeking a Director, Portfolio to manage a diversified Canadian/US portfolio of asset-based loans and leases. You will monitor collateral coverage, credit risk, and lead asset recovery efforts while partnering with leadership for strategic capital decisions.
The role requires 3+ years in portfolio management, an economics/commerce background, and cross-border experience. Remote Canada work is available with Calgary preference; salary is CAD 100k-125k plus bonus
Qualifications
- 3+ years of portfolio management experience actively managing a portfolio of commercial loans
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or related field or diploma of equivalent recognition
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership
- Experience in asset-based lending and collateral monitoring
- Proven ability to manage cross-border portfolios (Canada/US)
Responsibilities
- Oversee post-closing monitoring and management of the investment portfolio
- Onboard new files into portfolio management and set up reporting expectations
- Monthly portfolio performance reviews and ensure compliance with covenants
- Manage relationships with Canadian and U.S. borrowers and counsel
- Prepare credit amendments and assist with recovery and restructuring
- Lead portfolio reporting for senior leadership and risk monitoring
