Summary :

We are seeking an Intermediate / Senior Interior Designer to join our team at a 100% Canadian owned full-service design consultancy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating inviting and functional workplace environments for clients across North America. Our company emphasizes fostering a positive culture and welcoming atmosphere for both clients and employees. This is an in-office role based in Vancouver; candidates must be located in Vancouver to be considered.

Responsibilities :

1. Collaborate with clients to understand their workspace needs, functional requirements, and design preferences.
2. Develop innovative and creative design solutions aligned with client objectives and current workplace design trends.
3. Utilize AutoCAD and other design software to create accurate floorplans, furniture layouts, and 3D visualizations.
4. Specify and select appropriate office furniture, finishes, materials, and accessories based on client requirements and design intent.
5. Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, and presentations to clients, incorporating their feedback to ensure project alignment.
6. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, project management, and installation, to ensure seamless project execution from concept to completion.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies in workplace design, furniture, and materials.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
2. 3-6 years of experience as an interior designer, preferably in the commercial or workplace design industry.
3. Proficiency in Project Matrix (2020) or CET software.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
5. Strong knowledge of space planning, furniture specification, and finish selection.
6. Excellent understanding of workplace design principles, ergonomics, and industry standards.
7. Ability to create detailed technical drawings, floorplans, and 3D visualizations.
8. Strong communication and presentation skills for conveying design concepts effectively.
9. Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
10. Keen eye for detail and passion for creating functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces.
11. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
