Job summary

BrainRidge Consulting is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and governance of modern data ecosystems for clients in the financial services and fintech sectors. You will define the overall data architecture strategy across cloud and on-prem environments, with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.

This role partners with business and technology leaders, drives DataOps practices, and mentors data engineers.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in data architecture or related roles.
• Deep Snowflake expertise and AWS data ecosystem knowledge.
• Strong SQL skills; programming with Python or Java for prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise data architecture strategy across cloud and on-prem.
• Design enterprise data models, schemas, and integration frameworks with Snowflake and AWS.
• Collaborate with business and tech leaders to align data architecture with analytics goals.
• Evaluate technologies for data ingestion, storage, and analytics.
• Establish standards and governance across the data lifecycle.
• Drive optimization of Snowflake and AWS environments for cost and performance.
• Mentor data engineering teams and oversee solution design reviews.
• Lead data migrations, integrations, and modernization initiatives with quality and compliance.
• Champion data governance, metadata management, and access control policies.
