Job summary

Cloudbeds is recruiting a Senior Data Engineer/Architect to lead architecture decisions and the DataOps discipline across a fully remote team. You will own Snowflake data models, pipelines, and governance, while enabling AI-readiness for automated workflows and AI agents.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Data Science, and business stakeholders to ensure a scalable, reliable data ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Senior Data Engineer/Architect/Tech Lead with cloud data experience.
• Experience designing data architectures, data products, and ADRs.
• Proven track record in DataOps, CI/CD and data testing.
• Familiarity with AI/ML data readiness, feature stores, and LLM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud data architecture on Snowflake and model design for data products and marts.
• Lead end-to-end data pipeline design: ingestion, API integrations, connectors, ELT/ETL, orchestration.
• Embed data discipline into Git/CI/CD workflows, including dbt tests on PRs and credential management.
• Develop governance, data catalog, and observability strategies for data lineage, freshness, and alerting.
• Tune Snowflake performance, clustering, and warehouse sizing to optimize cost and speed.
• Mentor Analytical Engineers within an Agile framework and drive architectural reviews.
• Evaluate and modernize the data stack with new tools and patterns.
• Provide hands-on leadership in Snowflake, dbt mastery, SQL, and Python for data pipelines and MLOps.
