Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking a Data Science Tutor to teach online, 1-on-1 sessions. You’ll explain statistical methods, ML concepts, data wrangling, and visualization using Python or R, adapting to student needs from beginner to advanced analytics.

Earn up to $40/hour, with payments issued up to twice weekly. Set your own hours and tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform, while we match you with students and support you with AI-powered Copilot features.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of statistical analysis, data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, machine learning, data visualization, SQL, Python or R programming.
• Ability to explain probability distributions, regression analysis, A/B testing, and data pipeline design.
• Experience in translating business questions into analytical insights for data science roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions.
• Set your own schedule and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Explain data science concepts clearly and adapt to student learning styles.
