Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud-based data solutions using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Python, and SQL. You will build scalable data pipelines and collaborate with architects, stakeholders, and platform engineers to drive data integration and analytics enterprise-wide.

Based in Canada with a remote-eligible model for Ontario/Nova Scotia, this role emphasizes CI/CD with Azure DevOps, performance tuning, and data quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with Snowflake, ADF, Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience developing and supporting ADF components such as Flow Control Logic, Lookups, Copy Activities, Data Flows, Batch Service Calls.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture including Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and COPY INTO.
• Advanced SQL skills with data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Python, and SQL.
• Build and optimize ELT/ETL processes for data warehousing and analytics initiatives.
• Develop and support Snowflake objects including Tasks and COPY INTO for ingestion and transformation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipelines for performance, reliability, and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CI/CD and Agile delivery.
