Job summary

MOTIVE Software Solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Data Center Manager to lead the operation, maintenance, and optimization of data center infrastructure, security and applications. You will manage technical teams, vendors, and processes to ensure high availability and performance.

The role requires 5+ years in data center technology, strong leadership, and expertise in OpenStack/OpenShift, VPN, and cloud platforms. Remote-based opportunity with Ontario location and competitive salary.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years in data center maintenance in a technical role.
5+ years of hands-on IT leadership and direct reports management.

Responsibilities

Lead operation, maintenance, security and optimization of data center infrastructure.
Manage hardware/software systems incl. servers, storage, virtualization; ensure upgrades and lifecycle.
Administer and support network infra including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs.
Oversee OpenStack/OpenShift, capacity planning, and security compliance.
Develop IT governance, DR strategies, backups, and procedures.
Lead infra teams, performance reviews and KPIs; vendor relationships and SLAs.
