Job summary

Vivid Solutions Inc. in Victoria, BC is seeking a detail-oriented Proposal Writer for an on-call, as-needed contract to develop responses to RFPs, RFQs, and other competitive opportunities.

Work closely with executives and subject-matter experts to translate technical content into clear, persuasive proposals, maintain templates and source material, and ensure submissions meet formatting, compliance, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience writing proposals, grants, or government procurement responses.
• Public-sector procurement experience and scoring matrices.
• Experience with technical SMEs and stakeholder interviews.
• Ability to translate incomplete information into clear content.
• Comfort collaborating with a technical team.
• Strong organizational skills for templates and processes.
• Ability to work independently under deadlines.
• Advanced writing or research background is asset.

Responsibilities

• Review soliciting documents to identify requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission risks; write clear, compelling proposal content.
• Interview subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to gather technical, operational, and business information.
• Translate complex, technical concepts into clear, persuasive written responses.
• Maintain and improve proposal resources and workflow, including templates and source material.
• Ensure submissions meet formatting, compliance, and confidentiality requirements.
• Use AI tools appropriately to support research, organization, and drafting with editorial judgment.
