Job summary

ZAG Insurance is hiring a full-time, commission-based Commercial Insurance Broker in Oshawa, ON. You’ll identify and close new opportunities with local business owners and collaborate with underwriters to obtain favorable terms.

Work hybrid or remote if based in Ontario. First-year earnings range is $48,000 to $85,000 CAD with unlimited commission potential and opportunities to grow your own book and team. The role requires an active RIBO license and a proactive sales mindset.

Qualifications

• Active RIBO License in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years commercial insurance experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and market trends.
• Proven success in closing mid-to-large scale accounts.
• Proven experience in generating leads, developing business, or acquiring clients within the insurance industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong strategic planning and target achievement skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-visibility, results-oriented environment.
• Ability to analyze client needs and suggest appropriate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop & expand business by identifying and closing new commercial insurance opportunities.
• Build key relationships as a trusted broker for local business owners, executives, and industry associations.
• Leverage in-house CRM to manage pipelines, track submissions, and optimize follow-ups.
• Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate competitive terms for a wide range of industries.
• Drive revenue growth by consistently exceeding sales targets for new business and renewals.
