Qualifications

• Bachelors + 8 years of professional software engineering experience including ownership of production cloud services or distributed data systems.
• 3+ years of professional Go/Golang development experience delivering production services.
• Experience designing scalable distributed cloud-native architectures for SaaS or data platforms.
• Experience with distributed systems fundamentals: concurrency, state management, leader election, scheduling, fault tolerance, retries, eventual consistency.
• Hands-on experience building containerized services on Kubernetes, including CI/CD, observability, on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for a hosted data ingestion platform, including service architecture and platform APIs.
• Design, build, and evolve Go-based cloud services on Kubernetes for multi-region operation.
• Drive data integrity, secure credential handling, reliable processing, and clear operational controls.
• Own production quality with observability, capacity planning, on-call participation, and automated testing.
• Create reusable platform patterns to accelerate integration of new data sources.
• Partner with product, security, compliance, and field teams to align priorities.
• Mentor engineers and lead code reviews to elevate distributed systems capabilities.
• Communicate platform tradeoffs and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
