Job summary

Mecka AI is hiring a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, scale, and harden its AWS environment, focusing on networking and storage for global data ingestion and delivery. You will join the Platform Engineering & Infrastructure team as a senior IC, leading key projects and collaborating with ML, CV, and data teams.

The role requires 6+ years in infra/cloud, deep AWS networking, and IaC expertise with Terraform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing and operating production AWS environments at scale.
• Deep AWS networking: VPCs, Transit Gateways, DNS, VPN/Direct Connect, load balancers.
• Experience storing large-scale data on S3 with lifecycle, replication, and tuning.
• Strong IaC practice with Terraform and ownership of CI/CD.
• IAM and security fundamentals: least-privilege, encryption, auditing.
• Scripting skills in Python or Go for automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core parts of Mecka's AWS environment (networking, storage, IAM).
• Build and maintain our network: VPCs, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, VPN/Direct Connect, DNS, and load balancing.
• Implement and tune the storage layer for petabyte-scale data on S3 and related services.
• Improve speed and predictability of data transfer from ingestion to dataset delivery.
• Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent) through CI/CD.
• Contribute to reliability via monitoring, alerting, on-call, incident response, and postmortems.
• Find and deliver cost savings, participate in design reviews, and mentor teammates.
