Workplace Options is seeking a Clinical Counsellor in Alberta for remote work, offering rapid, empathetic mental health support via phone, video, chat and email. You will build connections that help clients feel heard, supported, and cared for, while navigating diverse challenges worldwide.

The role requires a Master’s in Mental Health and at least two years of direct counselling experience, with crisis intervention skills and strong documentation abilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mental Health and relevant licensure.
• Minimum of two years’ post-qualification counselling experience.
• Experience with crisis intervention and high-risk clients.
• Strong IT skills and accurate case documentation.
• Experience in service centres or similar settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide single session telephonic and videocounselling, in-the-moment support and crisis telephonic management in a professional manner while maintaining client confidentiality.
• Assess clients to ensure appropriateness for short-term counselling.
• Assess and manage high-risk calls and refer to appropriate resources.
• Refer clients to external resources or within WPO as part of our holistic approach.
• Maintain clear clinical and task-oriented documentation in the case management system.
• Deliver administrative support and act as a main contact for clients and providers.
• Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.
