Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Compliance Manager to own advisory for the affirm Card program, coordinating with Product, Engineering, and Operations to deliver compliant features.

You will apply EFTA and TILA knowledge on card products, lead root-cause remediation, and prepare for regulatory exams and audits, while shaping risk-aware product development.

The role is remote-first within Canada, with a base pay range reflecting national standards and a strong emphasis on comprehensive benefits and growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a compliance advisory role within financial services with card/payments focus
• Deep knowledge of EFTA (Reg E) and TILA (Reg Z)/CARD Act
• Experience operating independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Experience advising Product, Engineering, and Operations on card/payments programs
• Ability to present complex regulatory issues clearly to non-compliance audiences
• Self-directed with strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end compliance advisory for the affirm Card program across marketing, onboarding, wallets, disputes, and servicing
• Navigate novel regulatory questions and escalate only when needed
• Review and approve card marketing, disclosures, and UX for regulatory compliance
• Lead root-cause analysis and remediation for card compliance issues
• Collaborate with Compliance Testing, Legal, and Risk for exams and audits
• Maintain the Card program’s compliance risk assessment and control inventory
• Develop and maintain Card-specific compliance training and reference materials
• Surface risk early in the product lifecycle for new features
