YO AI Labs is seeking a Hardware Expert – CAD & Mechanical Design for a contractor role with a global, fully remote setup. The schedule is flexible, around 15 hours per week, enabling contributors to work asynchronously on AI training projects requiring precise 3D modeling and technical drawings.

The ideal candidate will bring strong CAD and mechanical design skills, Python proficiency for automation, and experience with computational geometry.

Qualifications

• Strong CAD and mechanical design experience.
• Good Python and 3D spatial reasoning skills.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and validating CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and create accurate 3D CAD models.
• Develop complex mechanical geometry using CAD tools.
• Use Python for CAD automation and programmatic modeling.
• Export and validate STEP and other solid-model formats.
• Verify dimensions, geometry, topology, and physical properties.
• Troubleshoot and refine CAD models for accuracy.
