Job summary

Trindent Consulting is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive revenue in the downstream Oil & Gas sector. Based remotely in North America, you will initiate, qualify, and convert leads while building strategic relationships with C-suite clients.

Reporting to the President, you will develop market initiatives, deploy targeted strategies, and lead a team of BD associates to exceed revenue targets. A chemical engineering background and 10+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of business development experience in oil & gas / refinery sector.
• Experience with C-suite client relationships.
• Strong negotiation and deal-structuring skills.
• Ability to develop and execute multi-faceted sales strategies.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% locally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business plan for the sales practice, estimate sales potential, identify key clients, devise strategies, identify collaboration opportunities, and actively contribute to business planning.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior and C-level client executives and expand networks in client organizations.
• Analyze probability of winning deals and negotiate terms and conditions of engagements with clients.
• Obtain confirmation and approval from internal stakeholders to ensure timely closure of deals.
• Facilitate education of differentiators and articulate value proposition; lead proposal presentations to create a compelling client proposition.
• Mentor and manage business development associates; set sales targets for the team.
