Job summary

Workleap, a Montreal-based tech company, is seeking a System Administrator to manage our Azure-based infrastructure, identities, and security services. The role emphasizes infrastructure as code, incident resolution, and collaboration with IT and security teams.

You will lead projects in Jira/Confluence, integrate Claude AI into IT workflows, and contribute to a scalable, secure environment as the company grows. Montreal-based with remote options and in-person gatherings.

Qualifications

• Windows Server and Linux administration in Azure-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD) and Azure.
• Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure as code; comfortable with Git and pull request workflows.
• Knowledge of networking, TLS certificates, logging and monitoring.
• Ability to automate with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
• Project management experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Claude and/or AI workflows.
• Excellent communication skills (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Own our Azure infrastructure (VMs, backup, VPN and policy) to keep systems reliable, secure and available.
• Manage Entra ID, Azure AD and CA to ensure proper access control.
• Oversee certificate lifecycle and patching to prevent outages and security gaps.
• Build infrastructure as code with Terraform and PR-reviewed changes.
• Integrate AI tools to automate recurring tasks and speed incident resolution.
• Lead infrastructure projects in Jira/Confluence for smooth adoption of new tools.
