Job summary

ELITS Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer for a remote consulting assignment based in Canada. You will build scalable, secure, and highly automated Microsoft Azure environments with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code, AKS, and cloud platform excellence.

You will help shape cloud architecture standards, improve automation, and support development teams with modern cloud-native best practices. This position is fully remote from Canada and open to Canadian residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT/Engineering or related field, with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Senior level experience with Microsoft Azure in complex enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Very strong experience with Azure Kubernetes Service and Kubernetes in production.
• Background in software development and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with identity and access management, secrets management, governance, monitoring, logging, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Microsoft Azure cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform.
• Build, manage, and optimize AKS environments and related Kubernetes platforms.

• Establish and promote cloud architecture standards, automation frameworks, and governance practices across the Azure environment.
• Support development teams with cloud-native best practices, platform guidance, and secure deployment patterns.
• Strengthen platform reliability through monitoring, logging, observability, and proactive operational improvements.

About The Role

ELITS Canada is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer for a remote consulting assignment based in Canada. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada and able to perform the role remotely from within Canada. In this role, you will play a key part in building scalable, secure, and highly automated Microsoft Azure environments, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code, Azure Kubernetes Service, developer enablement, and cloud platform excellence. You will help shape cloud architecture standards, improve automation, and support development teams with modern cloud native best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable Microsoft Azure cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform.
• Build, manage, and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service, also known as AKS, environments and related Kubernetes platforms.
• Develop and maintain secure continuous integration and continuous delivery, also known as CI/CD, pipelines for cloud native applications and infrastructure deployments.
• Establish and promote cloud architecture standards, automation frameworks, and governance practices across the Azure environment.
• Support development teams with cloud native best practices, platform guidance, and secure deployment patterns.
• Strengthen platform reliability through monitoring, logging, observability, and proactive operational improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, with at least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Senior level experience working with Microsoft Azure in complex enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Very strong experience with Azure Kubernetes Service and Kubernetes administration in production environments.
• Strong background in software development and a solid understanding of cloud native engineering practices.
• Hands on experience building and maintaining secure continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Experience with identity and access management, secrets management, governance, monitoring, logging, and observability.
