Placements24 seeks a highly motivated Remote Aviation Safety Officer to develop, implement, and maintain robust Safety Management Systems (SMS) across global operations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Aviation Management or Engineering, ASO/ICAO SMS or NEBOSH certification, and 6+ years of aviation safety experience with strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering or related field.
• ASO or ICAO SMS/NEBOSH certification required.
• 6+ years in aviation safety management with SMS expertise.
• Experience in incident investigation and safety auditing.
• Knowledge of international aviation regulations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; remote work experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Safety Management System (SMS) compliant with international standards.
• Perform hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Investigate aviation safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and training programs.
• Monitor safety performance with KRIs and KPIs.
• Liaise with regulators and maintain safety records.
• Provide expert safety guidance to management and operations.
• Analyze safety data to identify trends and improvements.
