Job summary

Airbus in Mirabel (Greater Montreal) seeks an Aircraft Safety Specialist to join our RMAS team to perform safety analyses, review documentation and prepare Continuing Airworthiness Risk Assessments for the A220 programme. You will interface with internal and external stakeholders and work on complex systems.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor or Master’s in Engineering with at least ten years in development programs, strong knowledge of aircraft reliability and system safety, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• At least ten years of experience on development programs.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft Reliability and System Safety across multiple systems.
• Familiar with CFR 14/CS Part 25, AC 25.1309, ARP 4761.
• Familiar with RMAS processes and tools and managing databases.
• Experience in setting requirements and RMAS processes/tools is a strong asset.
• Team player with initiative, responsibility and good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out complex Safety and Reliability analyses for aircraft systems.
• Review and approve technical documentation including safety analyses by suppliers.
• Propose solutions and participate in design modifications.
• Work with A220 engineers and suppliers to implement changes and solve problems on complex systems.
• Prepare Continuing Airworthiness Risk Assessments.

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for Aircraft Safety Specialist to join our RMAS team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will perform safety analysis, and review and prepare documentation, in the domain of Reliability, Maintainability and Safety (RMAS), interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be part of the RMAS team responsible for ensuring continued compliance to safety requirements and preparing Continuing Airworthiness Risk Assessments,

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as Aircraft Safety Specialist will be to carry out complex Safety and Reliability analyses, review and approve technical documentation, including safety analyses conducted by suppliers and propose solutions and participate in the modifications to designs.

Your challenges:

• Carry out complex analyses to ensure continued compliance to aircraft level safety requirements,
• Support development of RMAS tools and mid to long term plans to support the Program needs,
• Update Safety analyses and documents such as Aircraft Safety Assessment compliance reports (AFHA, PASA, etc.) and Common Cause Analyses (PRA, ZSA, etc.),
• Propose solutions and participate in the modifications to designs,
• Work closely with A220 engineers, including Suppliers, to implement design changes and solve problems on complex systems,
• Prepare Continuing Airworthiness Risk Assessments

Your boarding pass:

• You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering,
• You have solid relevant experience, at least ten years’ experience on development program(s),
• You have a good level of knowledge of aircraft Reliability and System Safety, across multiple aircraft systems,
• You are familiar with certification requirements and guidance, such as CFR 14/CS Part 25, AC 25.1309, ARP 4761, etc.,
• You are familiar with RMAS processes and tools, and knowledgeable with respect to managing databases,
• Experience in setting requirements and developing RMAS processes and tools would be a strong asset,
• You are a team player and a person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and good judgment.
