Job summary

Outlier, operated by Scale AI, seeks detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media. You will roleplay live conversations with an AI voice model, rank responses, and compare AI-generated images and videos for prompt adherence.

You will write concise explanations in English noting what looked or sounded off, helping to improve AI systems. This freelance, remote role offers flexible scheduling and weekly payouts.

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaker with strong, clear written communication.
• Strong attention to detail, with patience to replay/zoom in when something seems off.
• Comfortable thinking on your feet and discussing realistic situations in natural conversation.
• Experience writing short, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Able to make a clear decision when both options have flaws.
• Nice to have: Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree or above.

Responsibilities

• Holding a live, scenario-based conversation in English with AI voice models, then ranking naturalness and usefulness.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos and judging which better follows the prompt.
• Inspecting outputs closely to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering, or misaligned audio.
• Rating each output across dimensions and writing a specific explanation in English that points to what you saw or heard.
