Job summary

CXT Software seeks an AI-Native VP of Software Engineering to lead our engineering and SaaS operations, owning people, architecture, quality, delivery, and production reliability. You will shape how we build software in the AI era, verify adoption by real behavior, and drive evolution with evidence.

Reporting to the CTO, you will be measured on quality, cycle time, and customer impact. You will lead Directors and managers, guide AI-driven development, and ensure seamless cross-product

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in engineering leadership and 2+ years managing managers.
• Led multi-team organization through managers across multiple products with separate codebases.
• Led engineering for a B2B SaaS product with production operations: reliability, on-call, incidents, security operations, cloud cost.
• Experience using AI coding assistants and leading adoption across teams with measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, and develop Directors, architects, and their teams; set and hold the hiring bar.
• Make AI-assisted development and operations integral to the organization; coach leaders through change.
• Run engineering experiments with baselines and clear scale metrics.
• Own quality, releases, production reliability, uptime, and SLAs; manage incidents and security operations.
• Own architecture across products, including legacy modernization and AI-generated code standards.
• Plan and deliver the roadmap with Product; drive root-cause analysis with Customer Success.
