Job summary

GIRO Inc. invites an enthusiastic Software Development and AI Intern to join our Winter 2027 term in Montreal. You will work on a new internal tool to plan client cutovers, integrating AI-assisted development and collaborating with stakeholders to align with business needs.

The role focuses on design, UI, and backend integration, offering hands-on experience in AI-augmented software delivery. Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, have strong programming

Qualifications

• Two years of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, software engineering, computer engineering, or mathematics.
• Solid foundation in programming and software development.
• Interest in developing user interfaces and application services.
• Strong French communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Curiosity about AI-powered development assistants such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis and define features for the new cutover planning tool.
• Contribute to the design of the solution’s architecture and user experience.
• Develop the tool’s features, including UI and application logic.
• Use AI-powered assistants to support code generation, understanding, improvement, and documentation.
• Document technical decisions and learned lessons related to AI-assisted development.
• Collaborate with users and stakeholders to validate business needs and expectations.
• Contribute to demonstrations and ongoing evolution of the tool.
