Job summary

RainCity Housing is seeking a Relief Support Worker to assist homeless and at-risk individuals, using a strength-based approach and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The role includes daily living support, health and harm-reduction services, and coordination with external agencies.

The successful candidate will have a Diploma in community social services, two years of relevant experience, and current First Aid/CPR certification. A criminal record check is required by RainCity Housing.

Qualifications

• Diploma in community social services is required.
• Two years of recent related work experience in mental health, addictions, homelessness or social services.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supports to homeless/at-risk individuals using a strength-based model.
• Assist with assessment, goal setting and service plan development.
• Provide daily support including medication administration and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with other staff and external service providers to advocate for access and rights.
