As a Relief Registered Nurse (RN), Pediatrics, you will provide safe, high-quality, and culturally respectful nursing care to pediatric patients and their families in a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment.

Reporting to the Manager, Maternal Child Services, you will work alongside an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

In this diverse and rewarding role, you will:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pediatric patients and their families.
  • Provide care to a variety of patients, including pediatric, youth psychiatry, and adult medical or surgical patients, ranging from stable to critically ill.
  • Deliver patient and family education, support, and advocacy throughout the care journey.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, allied health professionals, and community partners to coordinate care.
  • Exercise strong clinical judgment and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:

  • A Nursing Degree with at least one (1) year of experience. Recent experience on a Pediatrics unit would be considered an asset.

Labour Market Supplement

The successful incumbent will receive a $10,000 supplement upon hire and an additional $10,000 supplement after completion of 12 months of continuous employment contingent on remaining employed in an eligible position for a further 12 months. This is a taxable benefit and will be subject to applicable deductions

Relief Worker

This job opening is for a Relief position where there are no established hours of work on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and may be required to report to work on an as and when required basis for facilities where services operate on a daily basis throughout the entire year.
