Job summary

Weyerhaeuser in Grande Prairie, AB is seeking a Reliability Support Team Member to join our Weekday Teams. You will perform general cleanup, assist with mill operation tasks, and support preventive maintenance while adhering to safety standards.

This role features 11-hour shifts on a rotating schedule (Monday-Thursday nights and Tuesday-Friday days). We value teamwork, strong communication, and a proactive safety mindset to protect people and assets in our sawmill operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to site policies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in construction or lumber mill is a definite asset.

Responsibilities

• General cleanup to reduce fire/explosion hazards.
• Operate mill equipment as required.
• Assist in preventive maintenance tasks.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures as needed.

Weyerhaeuser is one of the premier integrated forest organizations in the world.We are currently accepting applications for Reliability Support Team Member as part of our Weekday Teams (Monday-Thursday Nights, Tuesday-Friday Days. 2 weeks rotating) in the Sawmill for an immediate opening.The expectations of this position include:- General clean up; daily cleanup of wood debris accumulation to increase reliability and decrease risk of fire/explosionhazards.- The general use of applicable hands tools, air wands, brooms, shovels, air chisels, etc. Operation of Chainsaws whenrequired.- Lockouts as required- Working - 11-hour shifts.- Operate mill equipment as required- Assisting in operational PM task- Flexibility to meet the changing needs within the businessQualificationsThe successful candidate will have demonstrated the following:- High School Diploma or Equivalent- Behavior consistent with the Safety Vision and Policy and the Site Principles.- Ability to meet all Team Norms and Standards with a clear focus on active participation in the Safety Program.- Able to perform clean up tasks- Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills (verbal & written).- Ability to prioritize and learn quickly.- Previous experience in the construction or lumber mill is a definite asset.- Willing and able to perform all duties of the role- Demonstrated positive leadership capability- Aptitude for and experience in equipment operations- Ability to work as a team and independentlyAbout Wood ProductsWe've been delivering quality building products and solutions to our customers for more than 100 years.
