Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, QC seeks a Reliability/ Maintenance Improvement professional to analyze data, define preventive and predictive programs, and manage risk affecting safety, production and costs.

You will work with production, engineering and procurement to embed reliability in design and planning, drive continuous improvement, and train teams on maintenance tools while monitoring MTBF/MTTR and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least five years in an industrial environment.
• Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, project management and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and industrial regulations.
• Ability to simplify and describe complex concepts.
• Experience with CMMS systems (Maximo preferred).
• Customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

In your role, you will:

• Analyze maintenance data: Identify trends and root causes of failures to propose sustainable solutions.
• Define and implement maintenance plans: Develop preventive and predictive programs based on manufacturer recommendations and best practices.
• Manage risk and criticality: Assess the impact of failures on safety, production, and costs, and prioritize interventions accordingly.
• Coordinate across departments: Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to integrate reliability into design and planning.
• Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and maintenance system performance.
• Provide training and awareness: Support teams in adopting preventive and predictive maintenance tools and techniques.
• Monitor performance indicators (KPIs): MTBF, MTTR, availability rate, etc.
