Job summary

Qualifications

• Two year Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist Assistant certification from a recognized Canadian community college (required to have dual training as an occupational therapy assistant/physiotherapy assistant).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned tasks under the direction of the physiotherapists and occupational therapists and provide a variety of patient support services.
• Administrative tasks, stocking supplies, equipment inventory and cleaning/maintenance and other tasks as assigned.
• Work with the patients/families and team to actively help rehabilitate each patient to achieve his/her maximum functional level through planned therapeutic programs.
• Participate in patient care team meetings, discipline-specific meetings, special projects as assigned and supervision of students.
