Job summary

Oak Valley Health is seeking an OTA/PTA to support Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality patient care. You will participate in exercise programs, gait and balance training, and assist with ADL activities while ensuring safety and collaboration within the interprofessional team.

The role requires graduation from a Canadian OTA/PTA program, BLS certification, and strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA/PTA education program in Canada.
• Related previous experience or knowledge of rehabilitation/physiotherapy/occupational assistant role.
• BLS Certification is Required.
• Proficient computer skills; MS Office; Meditech is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a developed patient exercise program under supervision of a Physiotherapist.
• Gait and balance training.
• Conducting exercise groups.
• Application of modalities within the scope of practice under supervision of therapists.
• ADL training and assisting with group treatment programs under the Occupational Therapist.
