Job summary

The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is seeking a motivated Project Manager to lead regulatory instrument change projects. You will oversee project delivery, apply PM frameworks, and act as a SME in methodologies, tools, and processes. You will guide cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to ensure on‑time delivery.

You will use Lean‑Agile principles and collaborate with internal and external partners. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years PM experience are required, with assets including public

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, public policy, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years project/program management experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience in the public sector, government agencies and/or regulatory development are assets.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies or working towards certification (PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, Agile).
• PROSCI or other change management certifications are assets.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and deliverables with stakeholders, and set timelines aligned to requirements.
• Allocate and monitor resources; support time tracking.
• Motivate team to meet scope and timelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks and challenges; seek solutions across the project environment.
• Provide project performance reports and status updates.
