About The Role

We seek a Regulatory Compliance Manager passionate about fintech innovation and committed to high regulatory standards. You will develop compliance frameworks to ensure KOHO's operations meet requirements from bodies like OSFI, supporting our mission to democratize finance.

What You'll Do
  1. Compliance Program:
    1. Design and implement our Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) framework aligned with OSFI guidelines and standards.
    2. Build compliance infrastructure (e.g., GRC tools) and lead core activities such as change management, issue management, regulatory reporting, and training.
  2. Regulatory Oversight:
    1. Monitor and interpret OSFI guidelines and other relevant regulations to ensure compliance.
    2. Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise internal teams accordingly.
  3. Policy Development:
    1. Create, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures reflecting current regulations and best practices.
    2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into business processes.
  4. Training & Awareness:
    1. Develop and deliver compliance training to educate employees on regulatory obligations and ethics.
    2. Promote a culture of compliance and integrity.
  5. Monitoring & Reporting:
    1. Conduct compliance audits to identify risks and improvement areas.
    2. Prepare compliance reports for management and regulators.
  6. Regulatory Engagement:
    1. Act as contact for regulatory inquiries and examinations.
    2. Manage responses to regulatory findings and implement corrective actions.
What You'll Bring
  1. Experience:
    1. At least 5 years in compliance roles within OSFI-regulated financial institutions.
    2. Experience building or scaling compliance frameworks.
  2. Knowledge:
    1. Deep understanding of Canadian financial regulations, including OSFI, Bank Act, AML.
    2. Familiarity with fintech and digital financial products is a plus.
  3. Skills:
    1. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    2. High integrity and attention to detail.
  4. Education & Certification:
    1. Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related fields.
    2. Certifications like CAMS or CRCM are advantageous.
