The Opportunity

The Manager, Regulatory Compliance, reports to the Vice President of Food Safety and Quality Assurance and Animal Care. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory standards domestically and internationally, managing registrations, supporting labeling and packaging processes, and liaising with government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and maintain product registrations and SKUs in foreign markets (e.g., CIFER, MFDS).
2. Develop expertise in labeling regulations across Canadian and international markets.
3. Interact with government agencies for clarifications and registration issues.
4. Ensure compliance of existing and new products.
5. Provide regulatory support to business teams and approve labeling changes.
6. Collaborate on packaging development and validation, including graphics and integrity trials.
7. Manage GS1 accounts and ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, labeling, and packaging in the food industry, preferably meat products.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian, U.S., and international food labeling regulations.
• Leadership skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP/SAP RD experience is a plus.
