Canadian Immigration Connections is seeking a motivated Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to join our Edmonton team. You will develop case strategy and oversee files from intake to submission. This full-time role requires strong English communication, independence, and LMIA experience.

You will collaborate with consultants to deliver excellent client service and manage deadlines. LMIA expertise and knowledge of ESDC guidelines are highly valued in a supportive environment with

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented RCIC to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering excellent service while supporting clients throughout all lines of business.

The Senior RCIC is responsible for developing the case strategy and overseeing each file. In this role, you will execute that strategy by preparing accurate, compliant, and high-quality applications, ensuring every case is managed efficiently from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing immigration applications and submissions;
  • Manage a portfolio of active client files across multiple application types simultaneously
  • Obtain information through consultation and review new client information thoroughly and make recommendations on best path forward
  • Confirming scope of work and retainer agreement details
  • Monitor client progress and follow up proactively
  • Maintain organized, accurate file documentation throughout delivery
  • Correspond with client and collect all required supporting documents and information
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients throughout delivery
  • Collaborate with immigration consultants and other team members to support efficient case management and deliver exceptional client service
  • Assist with post-decision matters, including responding to procedural fairness requests, employer inquiries, and file updates when required
LMIA Expertise
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) program requirements
  • Assess employer eligibility and collect all required documentation to support LMIA applications
  • Draft and review job advertisements, recruitment summaries, and employer supporting documents in accordance with applicable guidelines
  • Manage Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) files from initial client intake through submission and post-submission follow-up
  • Prepare and review LMIA application packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current program requirements
  • Communicate with employers regarding application requirements, updates, and requests for additional information
  • Track application deadlines, processing timelines, and file progress to ensure timely submissions and responses
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of all documentation before submission
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical client records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
  • Stay current with LMIA requirements and employer compliance obligations
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of files and work independently in a fast-paced environment is a must.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively prioritizing competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the broader team.
  • Previous experience preparing and processing Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications is required.
  • Candidates with relevant experience at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) or other federal or provincial government departments responsible for immigration are strongly encouraged to apply.
