Job summary

VetCare in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our collaborative team. The RVT will assist veterinarians with medical, surgical and dental procedures, prepare patients and instruments for surgery, and monitor medicines under supervision.

The ideal candidate has passed VTNE or is eligible to write VTNE, is in good standing with the provincial regulatory association, and has completed a Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.

Qualifications

• Pass VTNE or be eligible to write VTNE.
• In good standing with provincial regulatory association.
• Completed a 2- or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures.
• Prepare patients, instruments and equipment for surgery.
• Administer and monitor medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $33.00/hr
