Job summary

Calgary North Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our team in Calgary, AB. The role emphasizes mentorship, training, and growth within the VCA Canada network.

You will participate in surgical preparation and patient recovery, perform anesthesia monitoring, radiology and venipuncture, and maintain accurate patient records while delivering compassionate care to hospitalized patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Completed Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program.
• New graduates welcome; knowledge of exams, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy.
• Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery.
• Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.
• Compassionate care for hospitalized patients and their pet parents.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Problem-solving and asking clarifying questions to find solutions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with colleagues and pet parents.
• Desire to learn more within the role.

Calgary North Animal Hospital is welcoming a full-time Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT, to join our team. While our network is large, we still offer that local community feeling, mentorship, and additional training!

• Have completed a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program.

• New graduates with knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy - welcome to apply! We love growing new graduates!
