Job summary

Big Rock Animal Clinic seeks an experienced veterinary professional to join our on-site team. You will collect samples, support surgeries, perform radiographs, and provide nursing care while counseling clients on animal health care.

The role requires five years of experience in a veterinary setting, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinic with a focus on animal welfare and client service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic.
• Education requirement: College/CEGEP.
• Must be able to work on-site at the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples and perform laboratory tests as directed.
• Handle, restrain and care for animals during treatment and surgery.
• Produce diagnostic radiographs.
• Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery.
• Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under veterinarian direction.
• Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian.
• Counsel clients on animal health care.
• May perform office management and clerical duties.
• Perform routine dental procedures and assist with dentistry.
• Provide nursing care and rehabilitation for animals.
• Provide wound and bandage care.
