Weston Veterinary Clinic in West Toronto is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our private practice. You will assist veterinarians, perform routine lab work, and manage patient records with care and professionalism.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ experience as Veterinary Technician preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Proficient in lab work including blood work and urinalysis.
• Experience with EzyVet software or similar practice management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist DVMs in providing medical care to animals.
• Perform laboratory tests and procedures, such as blood work and urinalysis.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
• Take and develop X-rays.
• Surgical preparation of animals and post-operative/recovery care.
• Sterilize and maintain veterinary equipment and instruments.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration.

Weston Veterinary Clinic is a privately-owned Veterinary clinic nestled in West Toronto. Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist DVMs in providing medical care to animals
• Perform laboratory tests and procedures, such as Blood work and Urinalysis
• Ability to problem solve and effectively work with the entire client care team
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
• Take and develop X-rays
• Surgical preparation of animals and provide post-operative/ recovery Care
• Sterilize and maintain Veterinary equipment and instruments
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration as directed by the DVM

Skills Required

• Proficient in laboratory procedures including blood work and urinalysis
• Strong knowledge and understanding of VetMed terminology and procedures
• Ability to administer medications and treatments accurately
• Attention to detail with experience in surgical preparation and assisting
• Skilled with X-ray equipment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
