Job summary

Martin Veterinary Hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to support veterinarians in medical, surgical and dental procedures. The RVT will prepare patients and instruments, monitor medications, and use diagnostic equipment while delivering compassionate client care.

The ideal candidate has passed or is eligible to write the VTNE, is in good standing with the provincial regulatory association, and has completed a Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health

Qualifications

• VTNE passed or eligible to write VTNE
• In good standing with provincial regulatory association
• Completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures
• Prepare patients, instruments and equipment for surgery
• Administer and monitor medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian
• Provide exceptional client service and maintain positive client relationships
• Operate diagnostic equipment as needed

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $33.00/hr
