As a Veterinary Technician, you will be essential in providing quality medical care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Clinical Veterinarian with animal health and welfare through observations, examinations, diagnostics, and treatments. You will also perform study procedures as required. Success in this role requires a strong knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology, proficiency in laboratory tests, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Research Trials: Involved in research trials emphasizing animal health, recording and analyzing test results, ensuring adherence to protocols, and monitoring animal health.
2. Animal Care: Daily observation and assessment of animals, participation in treatments, data recording, animal handling and restraint, assisting with medical procedures, and reporting concerns to veterinarians.
3. Research Participation: Engage in study procedures including blood collection, dosing, and data entry as needed.
4. Technical Resources: Maintain and report on the condition of animal health equipment.

Qualifications

• Veterinary diploma with successful VTNE completion, resulting in Registered status.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience, which may include clinical practice or research facilities.
