Position Summary

The Peter Munk Cardiac Centre offers world-class cardiovascular care, being one of the largest programs in North America. The team includes physicians, surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, dieticians, and other allied health professionals. The program attracts international experts and trainees annually.

Duties

• Performs Duplex vascular ultrasound imaging procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment
• Operates and troubleshoots ultrasound and imaging equipment
• Prepares, documents, and bills for procedures and test results
• Participates in teaching, research, safety, and quality activities
• Performs related patient care responsibilities
• Adheres to hospital policies and maintains patient confidentiality

Qualifications

• Completion of a 3-year community college program in Ultrasound or recognized equivalent
• Completion of a recognized post-diploma Ultrasound program
• Effective communication and sensitivity skills with patients
• Ability to meet patient care needs
• Computer literacy
• Awareness of hospital emergency procedures
