Job summary

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking a part-time Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) for Interventional Radiology. Join a dynamic team delivering General Radiography and innovative IR procedures while supporting education and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized, accredited Radiography education program.
• Registered in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
• Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.
• Membership with CAMRT preferred.
• Experience or willingness to train in Interventional Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform all required General Radiography and Interventional Radiology examinations as prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain strong team environment with radiology staff and interdisciplinary teams.
• Deliver high quality, safe, and compassionate patient care.
• Participate in student evaluations as needed.

Medical Imaging at RVH offers an expansive range of Radiography imaging programs including General Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Breast Imaging and Interventional Radiology. As the hub of our region, we provide a high level of complex imaging across all modalities including high risk OBSP, advanced cardiac and acute stroke CT imaging, life changing embolization and thrombolysis interventional procedures, and cutting-edge treatments such as Trans arterial Radioembolization. • Work with and participate in evaluation of students from affiliated education programs as needed.
