Registered Respiratory Therapist - (13125)

Sinai Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy department at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Position Details:

• Job Type: Regular Full Time
• Location: Mount Sinai Hospital Campus, Toronto, ON
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Department: Sinai Health > Mount Sinai Hospital > Allied Health, Respiratory Therapy

Employee Group: Non Union

Job Description:

In this role, you will work across various inpatient units including medical/surgical wards, NICU, ICU, OR, and ED. You will be a vital team member involved in patient care, airway management, mechanical ventilation, and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage airway and ventilation in ICU and NICU, including advanced procedures like nitric oxide therapy and bronchoscopy assistance.
• Assist in the Operating Room with anesthesia support and airway management.
• Participate in emergency care, including airway management and procedural sedation in the ED.
• Perform other responsibilities such as blood gas analysis, patient education, and research.

Job Requirements:

• Membership in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO)
• Successful completion of the Canadian Board for Respiratory Care (CBRC) exam
• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Preferred Qualifications: Membership in professional associations

Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent communication and clinical skills
• Strong work performance and attendance record
