Job summary

Anchored Therapy Centre is a trauma-informed, client-centred therapy practice with locations in Milton/Georgetown and Mississauga. We seek a part-time psychotherapist to join as an independent contractor, providing individual and family therapy in both in-person and virtual settings, including evening sessions in Georgetown/Milton (5pm-11pm), mornings, and weekends.

The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in psychotherapy or counselling, CRPO/OCSWSSW registration, malpractice

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in psychotherapy/counselling or related field.
• Registration with CRPO or OCSWSSW, or equivalent professional body.
• Malpractice and liability insurance.
• Experience with trauma, LGBTQ issues, addictions and relationship issues.
• Willingness or training in Emotionally Focused Therapy Externship; EMDR training is highly favourable.
• Sex Therapy training is highly favourable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; flexible for in-person and virtual sessions.
• Reliable transportation for in-person sessions; able to manage time and caseload.
• Experience in trauma-informed care and trauma-specific interventions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments and create treatment plans for clients.
• Provide psychotherapy to individuals, children, families, and couples.
• Maintain accurate client records with confidentiality.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic modalities and stay updated with best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team when necessary.

Anchored Therapy Centre is a trauma-informed and client-centred therapy practice has two prime locations one in Milton/Georgetown on Steeles Ave and in Mississauga on Derry Rd and Millcreek Drive.We offer counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and couples in various areas of mental health. Our mission is to provide best-practice services in a supportive, safe environment that helps clients explore their feelings and thoughts.

Role Description

We are seeking a passionate and qualified psychotherapist to join our team as an Independent Contractor. This is a part-time hybrid role for a Psychotherapist. The Psychotherapist will be responsible for meeting with clients for individual and family therapy, conducting counselling sessions, and developing treatment plans. Your role will involve working with various clinical issues, including trauma, LGBTQ issues, addictions, PTSD, Couples Therapy, and children's therapy. This role offers the opportunity to work in both in-person and virtual settings, providing therapy to a diverse range of clients. This is a Hybrid Role. Must be willing to provide in-person evening sessions at our Georgetown/Milton clinic office - 5pm-11pm, mornings, and weekends

Qualifications

• A graduate degree in psychotherapy/counselling psychology or a related field.
• Registration with The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or The Ontario College Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
• Malpractice and liability insurance.
• Experience working with children, trauma, LGBTQ, addictions, and relationship issues.
• Training and proficiency EFFT, EFCT, EMDR, CBT, ACT, DBT, and IFS. MUST be willing or trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy Externship!
• Being trained and certified in EMDR is highly favourable.
• Being trained in Sex Therapy is highly favourable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work in both in-person and virtual settings.
• Reliable transportation for in-person sessions.
• Ability to effectively manage time and caseload
• Experience in trauma-informed care and trauma-specific interventions
