Job summary

ErinoakKids is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to support children and young adults with medical and behavioral needs in our Respite Program at the Brampton site. This is a temporary part-time, on-site role with overnight shifts and weekend coverage.

You will review care plans, document medical information, provide direct clinical care, guide respite staff, operate mobility equipment, and uphold infection control standards while collaborating within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Practical Nursing is required and registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is mandatory.
• Previous pediatric nursing experience is preferred, especially with children with developmental and behavioral needs.
• CPR, First Aid and CPI certification is preferred; bilingual French/English is an asset.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Compensation Range: $31.64 - $37.03/hour

Position Summary:

ErinoakKids is currently seeking energetic Registered Practical Nurse’s to support children and young adults with medical and/or behavioural complexity within our Respite Program. Successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and work towards supporting clients as they participate in daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and implement individual client care plans;
• Communicate client care plans with respite staff;
• Review and record all medical documentation;
• Conduct assessments and respond to client needs;
• Provide direct clinical care;
• Provide onsite guidance and training to respite staff members as applicable;

• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends;
• Enjoy working under minimal supervision with children in a team atmosphere;
• Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
